OTH Botanical Evidence is an independent educational research application that compares the therapeutic objectives of pharmaceutical medications with published botanical evidence. The app does not sell herbs, supplements, medications, or other products. It contains no advertisements, affiliate links, or sponsored placements.

OTH Botanical Evidence is provided solely for education and research.

The app may identify possible areas of therapeutic overlap between the intended effects of a pharmaceutical medication and evidence concerning one or more botanicals. A botanical comparison is not a declaration that an herb is equivalent to, interchangeable with, or an appropriate replacement for a medication.

The app does not:

  • Diagnose any disease or medical condition.

  • Prescribe medications, herbs, supplements, or treatments.

  • Establish that a botanical is safe or appropriate for a particular person.

  • Replace the advice of a physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional.

  • Guarantee that a study result will apply to an individual user.

  • Recommend starting, stopping, reducing, substituting, or combining treatments.

Never stop, reduce, replace, or change a prescription medication based on information displayed in this app. Abruptly stopping certain medications can cause severe injury, withdrawal effects, recurrence of disease, hospitalization, or death.

Discuss medication and botanical use with a qualified healthcare professional who has access to your complete medical history, medication list, allergies, laboratory results, pregnancy status, and other relevant information.

Extra caution is required for children; pregnancy or breastfeeding; surgery; liver, kidney, heart, thyroid, bleeding, seizure, or psychiatric conditions; and the use of anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, sedatives, seizure medications, hormone medications, or narrow-therapeutic-index drugs.

Evidence and Editorial Methodology

Medication names may be normalized through the United States National Library of Medicine’s RxNorm service.

Botanical comparisons are maintained in a separate editorial evidence database. Records may consider:

  • Therapeutic objectives and mechanisms.

  • Human clinical evidence.

  • Safety concerns and contraindications.

  • Pharmaceutical–botanical interactions.

  • Evidence limitations.

  • Population restrictions.

  • Source quality and publication history.

Mechanistic similarity alone does not establish clinical equivalence. High-risk medications, established replacement therapies, and conditions requiring close medical monitoring may receive a hard-stop warning instead of a normal botanical comparison.

Evidence can change as research is published, corrected, retracted, or reinterpreted. Information may be incomplete or outdated despite reasonable review efforts.

Information the App Processes

OTH Botanical Evidence may process:

  • An automatically generated anonymous user identifier.

  • An authentication session needed to securely retrieve app content.

  • Medication names or search terms entered into the search field.

  • The medication records requested by the user.

  • Locally saved medication-record identifiers.

  • Subscription product, purchase, and entitlement status.

  • Basic technical information handled by service providers, such as request timestamps, IP address, app version, device information, and error information.

  • Information voluntarily provided when contacting support.

The app does not require users to provide a name, email address, password, date of birth, street address, diagnosis, laboratory result, prescription image, or complete medication history.

Information the App Does Not Intentionally Collect

The current version does not request access to:

  • Precise location.

  • Contacts.

  • Photographs or camera.

  • Microphone.

  • Health sensors.

  • Health Connect records.

  • Text messages.

  • Call history.

  • Advertising identifiers.

How Information Is Used

Information is used to:

  • Identify medication records.

  • Return free and subscribed research content.

  • Maintain a secure anonymous app session.

  • Verify subscription access.

  • Restore eligible purchases.

  • Protect premium content from unauthorized access.

  • Diagnose technical problems.

  • Respond to support and deletion requests.

  • Prevent misuse, fraud, or security incidents.

Service Providers

The app relies on service providers that may process limited information on our behalf:

  • Google Play for app distribution, payments, subscription management, and purchase records.

  • RevenueCat for purchase validation and subscription-entitlement management.

  • Supabase for anonymous authentication, secure database access, and server functions.

  • United States National Library of Medicine/RxNorm for medication-name normalization.

Payment-card information is handled by Google Play. Olde Tyme Health LLC does not receive or store the user’s full payment-card number.

Advertising and Sale of Data

Olde Tyme Health does not sell your personal health data to third parties. We do not share your private information with advertisers without your explicit and informed consent.

Saved Records

Saved medication records are intended to remain on the user’s device. Removing a saved record, clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored information.

Retention

Anonymous authentication, subscription, security, and transaction-related records may be retained as reasonably necessary to provide access, restore purchases, prevent fraud, comply with legal requirements, and maintain accurate business records.

Support communications may be retained while a request is being handled and for reasonable recordkeeping afterward.

Data Deletion Requests

A user may request deletion of associated app data by contacting:

Include the Support ID displayed within the app. Do not include medical records, diagnoses, Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Deletion requests do not erase transaction records that Google Play, RevenueCat, or Olde Tyme Health LLC must retain for financial, fraud-prevention, legal, or regulatory purposes.

Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. Premium research requests require authenticated access and server-side subscription verification.

No internet transmission, storage system, or security method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

​OTH Botanical Evidence is intended for adults aged 18 and older. It is not designed for children and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

​This policy may be updated when the app, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are published.

Subscription & Terms

Subscription Terms

  • Full Research Access is offered as one automatically renewing monthly subscription.

  • Price: $9.99 per month in the United States.

  • Prices and taxes may vary by country, currency, and Google Play account.

  • No annual plan is currently offered.

  • No lifetime purchase is currently offered.

  • No free trial is currently offered.

  • Payment is charged through the user’s Google Play account.

  • The subscription renews automatically unless canceled through Google Play.

  • Canceling prevents future renewal but ordinarily does not remove access already paid for through the end of the current billing period.

  • Uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel the subscription.

  • Users may restore eligible purchases from inside the app.

  • Refund eligibility and payment disputes are handled under applicable Google Play policies.

  • The app will use RevenueCat’s subscription-management destination, which directs an active Google Play subscriber to the appropriate Google Play management page.

Terms of Use

  • By downloading, accessing, or using OTH Botanical Evidence, the user agrees to these Terms of Use.

  • Permitted Use

  • The app grants a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and revocable right to use its content for lawful personal education and research.

  • Prohibited Use

  • Users may not:

  • Scrape, copy, republish, sell, or commercially redistribute the database.

  • Circumvent subscription or content-access controls.

  • Reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.

  • Misrepresent app content as individualized medical advice.

  • Use the app to prescribe or direct treatment for another person without appropriate professional authority.

  • Attempt unauthorized access to databases, accounts, functions, or premium records.

  • Use automated systems to make excessive requests or disrupt the service.

  • No Warranty

  • The app and its content are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. Olde Tyme Health LLC does not guarantee that every medication will have a botanical comparison, that every record will be complete, or that the app will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

  • Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Olde Tyme Health LLC is not liable for injury, loss, adverse reaction, medication withdrawal, treatment delay, financial loss, or other damages arising from reliance on app content or from using botanical products or changing treatment without qualified professional supervision.

  • Suspension or Termination

  • Access may be limited or terminated for fraud, unauthorized copying, attacks on the service, subscription circumvention, unlawful activity, or other material violations of these terms.

  • Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the State of Missouri and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
